The team sheet is in and EA are going for two up top rather than a lone striker. No, we're not talking formations - we're referring to the FIFA 12 cover stars; Wayne Rooney and Jack Wilshere.

Rooney keeps his place from last year's title, but little Jack gets the nod ahead of Kaka for the northern Europe region, a big accolade for the Arsenal and England star.

Elsewhere Kaka still sees some action, forming a front three with Rooney and Tim Cahill for the Australian version of the game.

FIFA 12 features a new impact engine which adds realism for challenges, meaning players will respond with more accuracy to different forms of impact. A hard tackle, for example, may result in you losing the ball and / or getting injured or you could possibly get lucky and keep your momentum going, it all depends on what the engine serves up.

FIFA 12 will hit the shops in the UK on 30 September. There's also a an Ultimate Edition that you can pre-order from Game or Gamestation on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 that gives you 24 FIFA 12 Ultimate Team Gold packs (4 per month for 6 months) to build your dream squad in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team.

Current Barcelona squad plus Scotty Parker, right?
