Apple has seen massive success amongst the emerging Chinese well to do classes who can afford to pay for its high end goods. But not everyone in China is willing to dish out cash for the latest piece of Cupertino equipment. Instead they opt for one of the country's many fake Apple devices, with things like the iPhone nano regularly donning shop shelves.

No one in their wildest dreams would imagine that the Chinese would go as far as to create an entirely fake Apple store. Birdabroad however, a blogger living in China appears to have discovered one. She came across the 'Apple Stoer' in Kunming province on her way home. There is only four official Apple shops in existence in China, none of which based in Kunming. Premium resellers do exist, but they tend to spell the shop name right.

The inclusion of 'Apple Store' alone below the logo, gives the shop away as a fake. Real Apple establishments are the white apple and nothing else.

Inside all the trimmings are there; the blue t-shirts, name lanyards and super smily friendly staff (we hope). The iPad 2s and iPhones shown in the pictures all appear to be real, but the usual windy staircase was apparently badly put together. Walls were painted poorly and the upstairs seating area doesn't look quite right.

Still though as fakes go this is about as good as it gets. What next? A fake PC World? hmmmm.
