Spotify has confirmed to Pocket-lint that it will be launching its digital music service in the US on Thursday, ending what seems like years of waiting for Americans keen to get their hands on the service.
“Spotify, the award-winning digital music service loved by millions of Europeans, will become available tomorrow morning in the United States by invitation and subscription,” the company said in a statement to Pocket-lint.
The US launch comes as rumours still circle that the company will be teaming up with Facebook to offer a streaming music service called Facebook Vibes.
Talking to people familiar with the matter, it is thought that Spotify had to officially launch in the US before the Facebook announcement could be made.
Those looking to get in on the action will have to have signed up for the new service.
