WEBSITE OF THE DAY - Byliner

Choose your words carefully

Walk into any decent bookshop and you’ll be surrounded by great writing. There’ll probably be a fair amount of dross too, of course, but if you know where to look you’ll never be disappointed.

But where exactly should you look? If you’ve fully embraced the digital age and can’t even think about letting your fingers caress the pages of an actual paper book, then www.byliner.com might just be one place to have a virtual flick through.

It’s a collection of great contemporary writing, on a whole range of different subjects covering a wide arc of different topical areas. From business and politics to sport and the arts, if something's happening, the chances are that somebody is writing about it here. And intelligently too. This isn’t a forum for random rants and wannabe commentators. It’s considered and concise writing of the highest order and it’s became a firm favourite in the bookmarks of most of us here.

You can download some of what you find here to iPad or Kindle too, so you can take some meaningful words wherever you go.

If you have a website that you want to tell us about email us via the feedback form.
