BT has completed the terrestrial television VOD full set with the launch of the BBC iPlayer on BT Vision.

The popular video-on-demand service can now be found, along with the ITV Net Player, 4oD and Demand 5 in the TV Replay platform of the broadband based service.

Marc Watson, chief executive of television and online services, BT Retail, said: “The launch of BBC iPlayer on BT Vision adds to the enormous range of quality entertainment already available to our customers. We are really excited to be partnering with the BBC to bring BBC iPlayer to our customers.”

The move means is a further step in the Beeb's quest for an ubiquitous iPlayer utopia, where every device in the world is able to stream Auntie's content.

The BBC iPlayer is now available across many connected TVs and Blu-ray players, Freesat and Freeview boxes, Virgin Media set top boxes, Fetch TV, the Nintendo Wii, the Sony PS3, and Android, Symbian, BlackBerry and iOS mobile devices.

Rumours that it is soon to launch on Casio calculators are yet to be confirmed.
