Sony has launched its own online print service, powered by PhotoBox, in a move that rival's the likes of HP's Snapfish platform, but is designed firmly with Sony camera users in mind.

From within the online portal you'll be able to do all the usual printing stuff; with various size and album options, and it will also make use of features unique to Sony such as Sweep Panoramic images.

You can upload your pics direct from Facebook, Picasa and Flickr - or using a plug-in quick uploader and you'll also get unlimited storage for all of your pics.

"We are excited to be able to offer a new print service for Sony customers, allowing them to print and bring to life exciting images taken on a Sony product," said Neil Bowen, proposition development manager, Sony UK.

"The service is an important addition to the SonyDigital Imaging range as it will offer consumers the ability to release the unique features in our Cameras such as Sweep Panorama, and help them learn more about taking great photos."

The site is live now and new customers can take advantage of an introductory offer of 50 free prints or a free photo book worth £13.99.
