Mashups go mainstream

The nation has gone mashup crazy thanks to Chris Evans and his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show. Party Ben’s seamless melding of Every Breath You Take by the Police and Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars has taken the airwaves by storm.

It shows how much things have changed when a Radio 2 show plays a guerilla music track like this, but that’s exactly what the Beeb wanted to do when they started to phase out the old school DJs and bring in a different generation to fill their schedule.
