Rovio has taken to Twitter to announce the latest update for its incredibly popular gaming franchise - Angry Birds - stating that a new episode entitled Mine and Dine is "coming soon".

It will be the first update to the original Angry Birds game since the final Ham 'Em High landed in March, and its one that takes the birds and pigs below ground for the first time into the "dark, damp underbelly" of the Angry Birds world.

As it's mining themed expect to see the green baddies in torch-helmets, spades and other mining based familiarities (Chileans?).

Also expect to waste yet more hours of your life trying to gather three stars on all of the levels.

No word yet as to when exactly it will land, but as the promo video seems to show off a number of completed levels so we expect it to be soon.
