Nikon to launch new DSLR very soon

Nikon has posted a flash teaser on its international imaging website that promises a new DSLR in 20 days time.

The ad doesn't show a full image of the new release, and simply promises: "Integrating quality and affordability to meet the demands of passionate photo enthusiasts".

The only specification given is that it will have a 10.2 megapixel sensor.

From all this, it seems that it will not be a professional model, but rather one for serious amateurs or semi-professionals, and will perhaps be pitched against the Canon EOS 5D - or possibly the Canon EOS 30D.
