Codemasters is releasing the next version of its popular rally racing series specially designed for the next generation of consoles.Colin McRae: DIRT will be available for Sony's PlayStation 3, the Xbox360, and PC, but not until 2007.
Events will include the series' point-to-point races and take players off road. Players will feel the exhilaration of driving a heavyweight 850bhp car around blind corners on gravel in the Hill Climb events.
Drivers can challenge themselves to the 12.4 miles of the Pikes Peak International, which includes 150 dangerous turns through Colorado's Rocky Mountains.
Multiple players can take part in racing with Dakar-style trucks and 4x4 in Rally Raid competitions, or try out Rally Cross events, which switch between dirt and road racing.
The game will also offer modes for European, International and Global rally championships for 3WD, 4WD, Classic and RWD rally cars.
More specifications and special features are still to be revealed closer to the launch date.
