LG and Verizon have come clean with the release details for the mid-level Android handset - the LG Revolution - stating that it will be available from 26 May, priced at $249.99 with a two-year contract.

We first got wind of the LG Revolution, a US only 4G handset for Verizon, over in Vegas at CES in January - but it wasn't until a month later at MWC that we managed to get our hands on the little blighter.

It packs a 4.3-inch 480x800 WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash and can shoot 720p HD videos.

Sadly, it's of the Froyo Android variety, there's no Gingerbread action here. How quickly times change though, it seems it was only yesterday that we were getting all excited about Froyo updates.

The Revolution also packs a Wi-Fi hotspot feature, for up to eight devices and boasts Dolby Mobile for all your on-the-go audio needs.

No word on a UK release, not even for the 4G folk in Cornwall.
