Marantz has lifted the lid on its two newest Apple AirPlay compliant devices; the Marantz NR1602 and the Marantz NR1402 AV receivers.

Available in black or silver, the AV receivers have plenty of input and output options on board, but are slimline enough so they shouldn't cause your TV stand to buckle under the weight of your growing mountain of tech.

The NR1602 is the daddy of the two, offering a 7.1 sound setup, Audio Channel Return (ARC), and 350-watt amplification, compared to the NR1402's 5.1 channels, no ARC and 250-watt sound.

Both models, however, boast four HDMI 1.4 inputs (with 3D support), Ethernet connections for all your internet radio needs and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. They both have direct USB-in for your iPod and iPads.

The NR1602 (£530ish) in out in July, its little brother (£350ish) should be with us a month sooner.
