Jaguar has launched it’s the Jaguar XKR at the British Motor Show in London. The high-performance flagship of the recently launched XK-Series range, the XKR features a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 that develops 420 horsepower.
Available from late 2006, the new XKR according to Jaguar "is the ultimate expression of Jaguar design and engineering, dramatically beautiful, perfectly balanced and with a promise of performance to make the heart race".
What you'll get is redesigned bumpers, aluminum-finish grilles and side air vents. Pronounced hood and a choice of either 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The main interest though will be in the supercharged engine - now with 420 bhp, providing 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
However those looking for the extra spoils of the R badge will have to pay an additional £7,500 more than the existing £59,995 XK a premium of 12.5 per cent.
