Jaguar has launched it’s the Jaguar XKR at the British Motor Show in London. The high-performance flagship of the recently launched XK-Series range, the XKR features a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 that develops 420 horsepower.Available from late 2006, the new XKR according to Jaguar "is the ultimate expression of Jaguar design and engineering, dramatically beautiful, perfectly balanced and with a promise of performance to make the heart race".
What you'll get is redesigned bumpers, aluminum-finish grilles and side air vents. Pronounced hood and a choice of either 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The main interest though will be in the supercharged engine - now with 420 bhp, providing 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
However those looking for the extra spoils of the R badge will have to pay an additional £7,500 more than the existing £59,995 XK a premium of 12.5 per cent. Car And GPS, Cars, Sports cars, Jaguar, British Motor Show 2006
