Virgin Media offers 500GB TiVo boxes to existing customers

Just as we told you it would back in April, Virgin Media has announced that the 500GB version of its TiVo box will be available to existing TV package subscribers.

The 500GB TiVo variety will cost viewers £49.95 plus installation charges, and it will be available to those who subscribe to the XL, L and M+ TV packs - costing £3 on top of the usual bill for the XL peeps, and £8 for the other two.

Apart from the hard drive, which is capable of recording up to 250 hours of (standard-def) video, everything else is identical on the slimmed-down version as per its bigger brother - including three TV tuners - allowing the viewer to watch and record one channel, while recording two others at the same time.
