O2 has added a second Windows Phone 7 smartphone to its line-up before the Bank Holiday weekend.

However, before you get excited that it’s a new handset completely, it’s actually just the HTC Mozart first launched as an Orange exclusive in October coming to the network six months later.

Still, the phone of choice of Microsoft’s UK MD Ashley Highfield (he told Pocket-lint a couple of weeks ago at a cocktail party), the HTC Mozart, not the HTC 7 Mozart as it's called over at Orange, will be free if you sign a £21.50 a month contract for 24 months.

For that you’ll get 100 minutes, 500 texts, and 500MB of data making it £5.50 cheaper for the same contract compared to the HTC HD7 which sports a bigger screen.

Users also get 50 free music downloads; or 24 free video rentals; or 6 free videos to own when they sign on the dotted line.
