Let's get together - and change the world

It's possible, just possible, that some of you will notice a little get-together in London today. A couple of posh people are tying the knot and the whole world's gone mental for it. We're happy for them and wish then every success for the future.

But one thing has struck us: just look at how many people are involved in planning, organising, and ultimately celebrating a wedding. It's astonishing that this many people can be galvanized into action for one single purpose.

Makes you think, doesn't it?

Imagine if you could harness that power for change?

At www.avaaz.org they think just like that. The site is a rallying cry to the little people who are battling to come to terms with the big issues that we see every day in our newspapers and on our TV screens.

If it's left you feeling ineffectual and impotent, this could be just the place for you.

People power works, that much is obvious if today's events are anything to go by, so maybe together people can change things every now and then...
