WEBSITE OF THE DAY – New York Times

The New York Times spills the beans on Gitmo

26 April 2011 1:00 GMT / By Ian Hughes

Woah. Things just got real. The latest batch of leaked US secrets points the finger of shame at Gitmo, the infamous military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba that’s housed some of the most notorious inmates in living memory.  Notorious is the word, simply because, if some of these latest leaks are to be believed, the inmates should never have been there in the first place. It’s not for us to say, but this latest batch of dirty laundry being aired very much in public is proving the most spectacular.

We're not big advocates of paying for online content, particularly news, but this time round we’ve signed up to the source. No, not Wikileaks, but the New York Times at www.nytimes.com.

They’re saying they got this load of secrets from another source and we reckon this is one paid-for site that will be well worth watching over the next few days.
