Here on Pocket-lint we have wide-ranging tastes when it comes to gadgets and gizmos. What's for sure is that we like games, we like Lego, and we sure as hell like ninjas. Combine the three and we're not only interested - we're typing our password into the app store faster than you can say 'Lego Ninjago Spinjitzu Scavenger Hunt' which, admittedly, does take a while.

It won't win any awards for the App with the Catchiest Name, but let's not dwell on the preposterously long title and get down to the nitty gritty. Your task is to fight to protect the land of Ninjago from Garmadon and his nasty skeleton army. Helping you along the way is your Sensei and his ninjas in training (Kai, Cole, Zane and Jay).

You'll be taught the art of Spinjitzu, which involves tapping the screen to get your ninja to spin faster and faster before tilting the screen to set him off crashing into your enemies in a dizzying version of hand-to-hand combat. For every victory, you'll win some coins.

The scavenger hunt element of the game refers to you tracking down Ninjago boxes in your local toy shop and using your phone to scan the barcode to win weapons, equipment and all the other sorts of things that any self-respecting ninja might want. You can customise your ninja from the start, choosing various elements including the type of weapon you want, using your coins to pay for what you need. The gameplay is solidly entertaining, and the Lego-style graphics look very cool. We can see this one becoming addictive very quickly.
