Davey Winder, our hardware man here at Pocket-lint has been named as IT security journalist of the year in BT's inaugural BT IT Security Journalism Awards 2006.

Davey, who covers all things hardware related for the site impressed the judges with the breadth and consistency of his coverage and his clear, well-written articles.

In what proved to be a very successful day for Davey, he also took the award for best security feature for his article Know Your Enemy, published in PC Plus.

Congratulations to Davey for his fine efforts.
