In this glorious digital age, the captured image is no longer the preserve of the professional snapper or the geeky camera nerd. Everybody’s at it. And that means there are countless pictures out there that will never see the light of day, as they remain stuck on memory cards and hard drives.

Mobile apps have liberated the digital image to a degree not seen before and they make taking and sharing your pictures as easy as point, push and click. instagr.am is one of our favourites - it lets you add nostalgic filters and then share your images through Facebook, Twitter or Flickr.

Ah, but what if you want to print one? The good people at New York digital agency Breakfast have thought of that and come up with instaprint.me a brilliant location based photo booth.

Each box is set with its location or a specific hashtag, so any picture taken in Instagram using either will automatically pop out as a Polaroid-style print.

For parties and corporate events, this is a brilliant finishing touch and Pocket-lint hopes it crosses the Atlantic very soon.
