The mystery of when the Nokia E7 will land is finally over - it will be shipping in April.

The date was confirmed by the Finnish company itself, who has opened up pre-orders for the device which may well just be the last Symbian hurrah before the Nokia / Microsoft partnership starts bearing some Windows Phone 7 shaped treats.

The E7, which Pocket-lint got some hands on time with back in September, is a QWERTY side-slider handset running on the Symbian 3 platform, with a 4-inch ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen (640x360 pixel resolution).

It has 16GB of onboard storage and comes with a free GPS Ovi Maps navigation system built in.

It's free on £35+ contracts, £469 on Pay As You Go or £499 SIM-free. Pre-orders are open now.
