Angry Birds for PC free with Intel AppUp

In the UK through Currys

Angry Birds for PC free with Intel AppUp

24 March 2011 14:00 GMT / By Paul Lamkin

Back in January we told you how Angry Birds had spread its wings and moved onto the big screen, courtesy of its inclusion in the Windows-based Intel AppUp Center.

The app originally cost £4.99, which is a little pricey for a game that retails at just £2.99 for the HD iPad version.

But now, thanks to Currys in the UK or Best Buy in the States, you can get pig-smashing on your laptop for free.

You simply have to sign up to the AppUp Center via a link from either of the electronics retailers. If you've already got the AppUp Center, just uninstall and reinstall using a new sign up.

In the UK, only the first 10,000 people to sign up will get the game for free - and the offer runs until the end of the month.
