We're sorry if the headline is somewhat misleading for this one. When we say "details", we don't mean in any great depth and when we say "wireless" we mean less wires, not wireless entirely.

But the "wireless" description is LG's and not ours, and the lack of details is also down to the South Korean electronics company too.

We know what the LG Wireless Pad will do, we've seen kit like this before - charge your devices simply by placing them on the conductive pad - what we don't know is what devices it will work with.

We're not sure if there's any backwards compatibility into the existing LG range (probably not as we've never been told of any inductive coils) or when the device will be hitting the shops (or a price even).

We also know that the WCP-700 charging device features "audible and tactile feedback when a phone is placed on the pad, as well as multi-coloured LED lights to indicate charging status".

We'll keep you posted with all the details as soon as we get them.
