Samsung Galaxy S2 Mini leaks - coming to Three, not so mini

According to a leaked document from Three in the UK, Samsung is about to announce the launch of the Galaxy S2 mini.

Not to be confused with the Samsung Galaxy Mini, which was announced in February at Mobile World Congress, the Samsung Galaxy S2 Mini will have a, not so mini, 3.7-inch screen that’s bigger than the iPhone (3.5-inch).

The leaked document shows the new handset to be a “high end” device, which is due to hit the shops in April.

It will be packing a 5-megapixel camera, LED Flash, and a second VGA front-facing camera for video calling. Connectivity-wise, it will come with HSDPA and 21 HSUPA 5.76 connectivity.

Other specs listed include Android Gingerbread, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a 1.4Ghz processor.

We’ve contacted Three for a comment on the legitimacy of the document.

To save you looking up how this smartphone compares to the Mini, as revealed in Pocket-lint's hands-on play during MWC, it has a 3.14-inch touchscreen, 600MHz processor, 3-megapixel camera, and is designed to be a feature-packed intro to the world of smart devices. It comes with a coloured shell, offers access to Android market and Samsung's own services, and its 2GB of internal memory can be expanded by up to an extra 32GB via a microSD card.
