Tron Legacy, although rather spectacular on the visuals, was a bit of a let down in terms of the plot; something which Tron Uprising - the inevitable Disney cartoon spin-off - will no doubt mirror.

Queue this trailer for the new Tron series, which shows lightcycles in all their glowing glory, powering round the Tron world in a matter-of-life-and-death chase scene.

The animation looks suitably stunning and is sure to have your kids glued and slack-jawed in front of the TV for many an hour.

Tron Uprising is due to be shown on Disney's XD channel in the summer of 2012
