When we first heard about www.allrovi.com we thought it was just a bit, well, “samey”. It’s a database full of entertainment info, right? A bit like IMDB maybe?
Well, yes, it is. But it’s also so much more.
AllRovi makes it very, very easy to find out the latest on all your favourite bands, singers, actors, directors - anybody involved in the entertainment business.
Find your favourite band and you can listen to previews of their work and link straight through to iTunes or Amazon to buy what you’re listening to.
You can also search for movie recommendations based on genre, sub genre, your mood, or even on which demographic it might appeal to.
It’s all very clever, and although it might seem a bit like a sledgehammer to crack a nut, we’ve found that it’s shown up some excellent and sometimes surprising results.
This is a great new way to keep up to date with the latest music and movie news and also discover some new stuff too. It’s not really doing much that other sites don’t do, but it does it all in one place and it does it very well.
We like.
