Today’s website of the day is madehow.com a website that explains how things are made. Obviously.

Split into seven volumes (at the moment anyway) all listed alphabetically, the site covers a wide gamut of objects both everyday and more obscure.

From antibiotics to the humble zipper, some of the explanations might surprise you. And talk about in-depth. These aren’t just sound bites – they’re full researched and well-presented articles. They’ve got diagrams and everything.

Essential reading for any pub bores out there.
