iPad newspaper The Daily is, according to Rupert Murdoch at least, supposed to be an "indispensable source for news, information, and entertainment".
But could the digital publication be failing to live up to its CEO's expectations just 2 weeks after going on sale?
A leaked memo from the digital newspaper's editor-in-chief Jesse Angelo suggests that it might be.
Angelo wrote: "We need to get out there and start finding more compelling stories from around the country - not just scraping the web and the wires, but getting out on the ground and reporting."
Now, this could be read as just an editor trying to fire up his team, but after such a short period of time since launch it does hint at key objectives not being met in the early stages.
Angelo went on to encourage his team to make their own stories by finding human elements and unreported news.
"Get in front of a story and make it ours - force the rest of the media to follow us," he wrote. "It's good stories that will keep people coming back to The Daily - we've assembled a crack news team, so let's show the world what we can do."
The Daily launched on 2 February to much fanfare. It is available every day for 99c a week, or you can take a yearly subscription for $39.99 - all courtesy of Apple's in-app subscription platform.
