Panasonic debuts its first 3D LED TV

New 3D flagship plasma also launches

Panasonic's Viera TV lineup for 2011 will include the brand's very first 3D LED panel, in the shape of the DT30 series.

Comprising two panels - the 37-inch TX-L37DT30 and the 32-inch TX-L37DT30 - the DT30 series adds mid-size TVs to the super-size plasma panels already offered by the maker, although it will be exclusive to Europe. The new TVs will sport IPS panels for a wide viewing angle, while improved motion response and the inclusion of Intelligent Frame Creation will produce cross-talk-free 3D images, says Panasonic.

Both models will sport the brand's Viera Connect internet services, which enables access to a series of apps with various functions including social networking services such as Twitter, Facebook and Skype. The sets will also include Wi-Fi and DLNA connectivity as well as 4 HDMIs, 3 USB ports and a PC input. The DT30 is due to hit UK shops in May, with prices yet to be confirmed.

Panasonic will also launch its flagship VT30 3D plasma panel, which will be available in 42-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch screen sizes.

These two high-end panels are just the tip of the iceberg - Panasonic is also launching a full lineup of plasma and LCD panels (85 per cent of which are LED) with screen sizes ranging from 19 to 65 inches.
