Toshiba has just announced its all new Portégé R830 laptop, something it's calling its most advanced ultraportable laptop to date.

A combination of features means that the Toshiba Portégé R830 should make for a very decent business machine as a full day's battery life is also a key feature.

It's powered by a nice, meaty second-gen Intel CPU - presumably Sandy Bridge - and, although coming in a variety of options, you can get up to 8GB of DDR RAM, a 64GB hard drive and a whole host of connectivity: HDMI-out, Blutooth 3.0, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n and USB 3.0.

Featuring a 13.3-inch screen with either TruBrite or non reflective HD display with LED backlighting, however the stand out dimensions are its overall form factor as it measures 316mm x 227mm x 18.3mm (at its thinnest) - so on the whole very portable.

The magnesium alloy design apart from saving a few pounds, should also make it pretty durable.

No word on pricing, but it should become available in the second quarter of 2011.
