The launch of the LG Optimus Pad over at MWC has given Apple a right kick in the teeth....quite literally.

The promo video for the 8.9-inch Android tablet, that was officially announced in Barcelona on Monday, features more than a sly-dig at its tablet rival.

Skip to around the 1 minute mark and you'll see a scene from a fictional game titled "Spec Fighter", where a Ryu-like character called Optimus takes on his single-core competitor called A Pad (who bears more than a slight resemblance to Apple CEO Steve Jobs) and subsequently gives him a kick right to the chops.

In the past we've seen promo videos from the likes of Motorola and Samsung where it's hinted that their tablets beat the iPad - but this is the first time we've seen it displayed quite so blatantly.

Funny, or a bit off give Jobs' current medical issue? Let us know what you think using the comments below.
