The 45th (XLV) NFL Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday 6 February in the Cowboys Stadium in North Texas, as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers; and it's such a massively viewed event that even the half-time advertising is a major talking point. Certainly, the money thrown behind the commercials and the booking of time slots is huge. Almost Fernando Torres huge.

The ads themselves are often mini works of art, with clever or extremely funny plot lines. So it's a shame that over this side of the pond, we often miss out on the biggest advertisement debuts; and sometimes, never get to see them, even on video sites like YouTube.

Volkswagen has other ideas though, and has already posted its Super Bowl commercial online. And it's one of the cutest uses of a Star Wars license we've ever seen.
