A Pocket-lint source has confirmed that the white iPhone 4 will, finally, be landing next month - stating that it will hit UK shops at the end of March.
The white iPhone 4 was widely expected to land in spring 2011 after a photo hit the web in December which showed a new Apple Store sign that clearly read: "The white iPhone 4 will be available in spring 2011" which, in turn, backed up an Apple statement released back in October.
Our source's claim seems to confirm that the spring arrival time was accurate.
Apple first stated that the white handset would be hitting the shops by the end of July 2010, a statement backed up by Apple in the UK originally.
Then it was delayed for a few weeks, before an announcement was made stating that: "white models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year".
We've spoken to our man at Vodafone, who said there was no new light to shed on the subject, and we're also trying to get word from all of the other major UK networks to see if they can support our source's claim - so be sure to check back on Pocket-lint soon for any updates.
If you just can't wait until the end of March to grab a white smartphone - why not check out our guide to the best white smartphones available now.
