Vodafone gives pay as you go customers free weekend texts

Using a low amount of credit during the week gives users free SMS messages at the weekend

Finally, a bit of a break for pay as you go mobile users resisting the commitment of a monthly plan.

Vodafone Pay As You Talk customers can now receive free weekend texts and some even free weekend calls by using a certain amount of credit up during the week.

Those who spend £5.00 during the week get free calls to any UK network and free texts all weekend, starting at 7:30 on a Friday night, while those who spend £2.50 still get free texts for the whole weekend.

Vodafone research shows that people regard "Free Weekend" deals as top of the list for all pre-pay offers.

Tim Yates, Director of Vodafone's Consumer Business Unite says, "With Free Weekends we are re-addressing the balance for Pay As You Talk customers and showing Vodafone's passion to give customers good value".
