TOY FAIR 2011: New board game to challenge you

Rubik's Race: Rubik's Cube goes two player

27 January 2011 10:13 GMT / By Stuart Miles

The makers of the Rubik’s Cube have brought out a two-player version called Rubik’s Race that sees you battle against another player in an attempt to solve a variation of the classic cube puzzler.

The game works by one player shaking a box of nine colours and then both players having to create the same pattern on their board before the other by sliding tiles around.

The first one to recreate the pattern and lock down the divider separating the two game areas wins the game.

The game is expected out later this year and combines the Rubik’s colour tile approach with those sliding puzzle games where you have to make a picture.

No word on price, but a spokeswomen told Pocket-lint that it wasn’t going to be expensive when the game comes out in May.
