With the iPad dominating the tablet market, how can other manufacturers get their tabs to appeal to the cool kids?
Well, LG may have just come up with the answer by giving the forthcoming G-Slate a cameo in a music video by pop-star Seungri, who's like the Korean Justin Timberlake (boy band star gone big time on his own).
Apart from the teaser video shown off at CES 2011, this is the first time that we've had a good look at the LG G-Slate - albeit a very brief look - but it is in glorious 1080p. (Check out 0:53 and 1.52 of the "What Can I Do?" video).
The tab is hitting T-Mobile in the States (and its 4G network) although the Honeycomb tablet will also go on sale in regions that don't support 4G, such as here in Blighty.
Over in Vegas at CES, James Choi, marketing strategy and planning team director of LG Electronics global hinted that alternate versions would be hitting the shops globally.
“For the iPad you have the Wi-Fi version, the 3G version, different kinds of versions. I’ll put it to you this way, even if the 4G version isn’t in the UK..." he told Pocket-lint before being cut of by his PR minder.
There's no concrete specs of the G-Slate yet but, as ever, we'll keep you posted.
