A pink-coloured Valentine's Day edition of Angry Birds is coming on, er, Valentine's Day. Revealed in a video clip made by DW-TV (Deutsche Welle) which is available on YouTube, the new version will be available to download onto unspecified devices from 14 February, and Pocket-lint believes that it will be a free update to the Angry Birds Seasons application, which has previously been used for Halloween and Christmas editions.
Translated into English (from German), the clip reveals all: "The designers and game developers at Rovio are currently working on new versions of their game, like this update in pink, due to come on the market on February the 14th - Valentine's Day."
"We want to build upon the characters and the universe that we have built," says Mikael Hed, CEO and co-founder of Rovio. "And take it to further games."
Certainly, the new update will be welcome, although we hope that it doesn't come in a fractious form like the Christmas edition (with its advent calendar-inspired daily delivery system). Otherwise we might fall out of love with the franchise... "Love", geddit?
