Nokia sues two Chinese companies for design copying

It marks the first time Nokia has brought a suit in the Chinese courts

Nokia is gunning for a couple of cellphone makers in China who are ripping off its designs.

It's the first time Nokia has taken legal action in China, after a Beijing court agreed to hear the case against two manufacturers based in Shenzhen.

Nokia is suing the companies for illegal product copying of its 7260 model, and wants to the court to force the them to stop making and selling them. It's also seeking damages to the tune of $62,500.

Other large multi-national companies that are bringing suits over IP and copyright in the Chinese courts are Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and Intel.
