Dell Venue hands-on

6 January 2011 21:41 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Dell has announced the Dell Venue, a keyboardless Dell Venue Pro for the Android community, and Pocket-lint was at the Dell presser in Las Vegas to have a quick and dirty fumble.

The new phone will have a sharp and crisp 4.1-inch AMOLED screen that will bedazzle you in the same way as the Samsung Galaxy S.

Called the Dell Venue, the Android 2.2 phone has a 1GHz processor and runs Dell’s Stage software, a similar offering to the Dell Streak range of tablets from the company.

In our quick play, the phone seemed quick to respond, whizzing through menus with ease.

Sporting Gorilla Glass you should be able to drop it without too much concern, However that was something that Dell weren’t too happy about us trying.

Pocket-lint is reporting from CES 2011 live as it happens, so make sure you keep up with the hottest gossip and news.
