Garmin has just announced the its all new singing and dancing nuvi 2400 series of satnavs at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
The new 2400 series brings large 5-inch displays, as well as a wide range of features including voice-activated navigation, lifetime traffic and map updates, and advanced route planning and calculation with Garmin’s nuRoute technology.
The two new UK models are the nuvi 2440 and the nuvi 2460LT. Both models feature trafficTrends and myTrends predictive routing with the former improving route calculation over time by storing info on traffic flow over time, and the latter anticipating a route to your favourite destinations as soon as the device is powered up.
If you opt for the 2400 you'll be able to rate POI and receive updates from a community database as well as customise your homepage, whilst the 2460LT will give hand-free calling, voice activated navigation and lifetime traffic service included.
The nüvi 2440 has an RRP of £179.99 and the nüvi 2460LT has an RRP of £219.99. They are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2011.
