MSI has confirmed that it will be unveiling two "new generation" WindPad tablets over in Las Vegas at CES 2011.

One of the devices, the MSI WindPad 100A, will be Android powered, although the ambiguous statement that it will be rocking "the new Google Android OS" leaves us wondering whether Gingerbread will be on board or the tablet-friendly, and yet-to-be officially released, Honeycomb will in fact make an appearance.

We'd hazard a guess at the latter.

The 100A will have a 10.1-inch multi-touch control enabled display, an ARM processor, a digital compass, a GPS locator, a G-Sensor gravity detecting device, an ALS light sensor, and connectivity via Wi-Fi and optional 3G.

It weighs in at 800g and is less than 14mm at its thinnest point. It has a battery life of between eight to ten hours.

The MSI WindPad 100W is a Windows 7 boasting machine, which also has the 10.1-inch multi-touch control enabled display.

It will have an Intel mobile processor, 32GB of space courtesy of a SSD, a G-Sensor gravity detecting device, an ALS light sensor, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It will also feature MSI’s own Wind Touch software, which you may have come across of one of MSI's other Windows 7 touchscreen devices.

The two tablets will be officially announced over in Vegas, and Pocket-lint will, of course, be on hand to report back with more detailed specs and photos of the devices.
