Medion has just announced the launch of a high performance laptop, which is going on sale exclusively through Sainsbury's.
The Medion Akoya P6624 gets a 15.6-inch LED-backlight HD display, along with an Intel Core i5-460M processor, 4GB memory and 640GB hard disk - enough oomph then to deal with most of the more demanding tasks, such as editing HD videos or photos and playing games.
The laptop also includes Intel’s efficient Hyper-Threading technology, featuring four-way multi-task processing that allows each core of the processor to work on two tasks at the same time.
Graphics are supplied by an NVIDIA GeForce GT425M DirectX 11 graphics with 1024MB of dedicated RAM. Its Optimus technology switches between the more powerful NVIDIA graphics and energy saving Intel solution to preserve the 8-cell high performance Li-Ion battery.
All this looks to make a nicely balanced system giving you power when you need it, whilst preserving for the more mundane tasks.
The price comes in at £499, and it's available from Sainsbury's right now.
