Casio has ramped up the specs on the EX-Z60 by one million pixels to bring out the EX-Z70.

The new compact, which comes in black from the beginning of July or silver from August, features a 7.1MP sensor. Other than that, the specs on the camera are identical to those of the Ex-Z60.

It features Easy Mode for beginners to simplify menus into three: image size, flash, and self-timer.

The camera also incorporates Anti-Shake DSP for reduced photo blue from shaky hands or moving subjects and features a 2.5-inch LCD on the rear.

The EX-Z70 will be available from July for around £230.

It should also be noted that the 10MP Casio EX-1000 is also available now in black.
