Nintendo DS Lite available now across Europe

It feels like a long time in coming

Nintendo's DS Lite has finally been let loose on British soil.

The new handheld is being marketed as a "lighter, brighter Nintendo DS" and is available in both black and white.

The DS Lite sold 136,500 units in two days when it was launched in the US. Can the British public beat that?

It's apparently outperforming sales of the 2003 launch of the Game Boy Advance.

New games for the software include Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old is your Brain? and New Super Mario Bros which is set to launch on 30 June.

The DS Lite is available for around £100.
