We've been pretty excited about seeing this bad boy since we first reported that Commodore USA had done a deal with Commodore Licensing to release a PC all-in-one, cased in an exact replica of the Commodore 64 which was originally released back in 1982. 

And now Commodore has gone live with the images and detailed spec of the retro-tastic machine.

Housed in the glorious beige chassis of the original, you'll find a modern mini-ITX PC motherboard with an Intel dual-core 525 Atom processor and the latest Nvidia Ion2 graphics chipset. It has 2GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 4GB) and it can output 1080p HD with its HDMI slot.

The Cherry brand keys "feel much better than the original" apparently but are still the same shape and colour.

There are, of course, a few features that the 80s classic was lacking - including a optical drive (with a Blu-ray option) and a multi-card reader and USB slots. There's Wi-Fi on board, as well as DVI and VGA output.

You can also choose to boot the PC into Commodore emulator mode for some 8-bit gaming, or run Workbench 5.

Basically, this is an awesome piece of kit and we want one.
