Cisco has posted an interesting promo video ahead of its CES 2011 press event that takes place on 5 January.

In this witty vid, the old TV sets seem encouraged by the group leader's announcement of an "infinite library of content" that could be beamed into even the oldest of sets.

Is Cisco planning a Google TV-like platform, with scart or component support for older models?

We're told that it will be making an "announcement regarding Cisco’s role in helping service providers and content providers meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the convergence of payTV, online and on-demand content".

Hmmmm. Interesting.
