Lacie has just announced a brand-new external hard drive, which sports a super-speedy USB 3.0 port and fancy Philippe Starck design, called the Lacie Starck Mobile USB 3.0.
However, the fancy aluminium shell is not purely based around the aesthetics, as it also offers up decent protection.
Apparently the 2mm casing means "the LaCie Starck Mobile USB 3.0 is one the most resistant choices for consumer hard drives on the market". With the aluminium offering a certain amount of resilience if dropped, it also delivers decent heat dissipation, and is fully recyclable.
The Lacie hard drive comes with 500GB capacity, but you'll also be offered an extra 10GB as Wuala online storage is included for 1 year (presumably you'll have to start paying when the year is up) to store, share and sync your data online.
The Lacie Starck Mobile USB 3.0 is available now through Lacie's online store, and is priced at £89.90.
