Announced back in September, the Dell Inspiron One 23 is finally here and that means in the hands of Pocket-lint.

For those who can’t tell from the pictures, the new all in one computer from Dell, the Dell Inspiron One 23, sports a 1080p full HD 23-inch LED-backlit LCD front and centre with all the tech tucked behind that screen.

Aside from letting you see what you are doing, the screen is also touch enabled like the HP all-in-one TouchSmart offerings and here you get a chance to control music, view photos and surf the web without having to worry about where you are going to put the keyboard and mouse (there’s a handy storage bay underneath).

As we know from experience, the touch version of Windows 7 isn’t that fantastic and realising this, Dell has created a special user interface called Stage. Stage basically offers a row of bigger buttons and software that has been designed for your fingers rather than your mouse.

Dell Stage, which is more of a software loader rather than a complete User Interface that sits on top of Windows 7, presents instant access to collections of music, photos, videos, games and other applications - and works well. 

Failing your touch efforts there is of course a keyboard, mouse, and remote control included in the box. 

It's not all about that touch screen however, and underneath the touchy feely interface is a fairly powerful machine if you opt for the top of the range model. Specs include the Intel Core i5 processor, up to 6GB RAM, Blu-ray combo drive, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card, 1TB hard drive, THX Audio, built-in Wi-Fi, webcam, DVD drive and HDMI interface for connecting to TV tuners, cable and satellite boxes and gaming consoles, as well as the usual range of connectivity options you would expect.

Those happy to opt for a lower-spec machine will be able to get one for £549 while the top of the range model with all the specs listed above will cost you £879.
