Facebook Credits gift cards on sale for Christmas

If you've got anyone on your Christmas lists who's addicted to a Facebook-based game then you might want to consider buying them a Facebook Credits gift card this Christmas.

Facebook Credits gift cards will be sold at Tesco and Game and will let online gamers buy virtual goods and purchase add-ons for titles such as Zynga’s FarmVille and Mafia Wars; CrowdStar’s Happy Aquarium; PopCap Games’ Bejeweled Blitz; Playdom’s City of Wonder; and EA's FIFA Superstars, from Playfish.

“One of Facebook’s goals is to create a great place for games - both for the people who love to play and the developers who want to create fun and engaging social experiences”, said Christian Hernandez, head of international business development, EMEA, at Facebook. “Gift cards are easy to use and very popular and we’re really excited to be launching in certain stores here in the UK”.

At Tesco you'll be able to get either £10 or £20 cards and in Game you'll be able to pick up £5, £10 and £25 denominations.
