Panasonic unleashes 103-inch Full HD 3D Plasma monster

17 November 2010 14:09 GMT / By Paul Lamkin

When Panasonic revealed its 103-inch Plasma TV to the world a couple of years back there was really only one word to describe it - "excessive".

Now it has added Full HD 3D to the specs and you now need to add "even more" to the initial description.

This monster set weighs in at about 321kg with the stand, or 199kg without and has a native contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.

The Panasonic TH-P103MT2 has been announced over in Japan, where it will go on sale for around £65,000, with pre-orders starting on 18 November. Just in time for Christmas although at that price (and size) it's hardly a stocking filler.
